Parent Terms & Conditions

By proceeding with tutoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Lessons & Services

1.1 Tutoring is provided either in-person or online as agreed.

1.2 Lesson details (tutor, subject, time, location, pricing) are confirmed via SMS or email.

1.3 Once lessons commence, they are considered active unless paused or cancelled in accordance with this agreement.

2. Payments & Fees

2.1 All lessons are billed weekly via automatic payment (we still accept bank transfer till the end of January 2026), processed on Mondays.

2.2 A 1.7% convenience fee applies to all online payments.

2.3 Payment details to set up Auto-Pay can be provided:

  • Over the phone/SMS to Time for Tutoring, or

  • By parents directly via the Parent Portal.

2.4 Automatic payments may be set up after the first lesson but before the second lesson.

2.5 If tutoring does not continue, only the completed lesson(s) will be charged via bank transfer.

3. Late & Failed Payments

3.1 Failed or declined payments must be resolved promptly.

3.2 Ongoing unresolved payments may result in:

  • Lesson suspension

  • Late fees

  • Termination of services

4. Cancellations, Communication & Missed Lessons

4.1 Lesson cancellations, planned absences and rescheduling should be communicated directly with the tutor.

4.2 Cancellations made before the day of the lesson incur no charge.

4.3 Same-day cancellations incur a 50% penalty fee. This is to account for the tutor reserving that time for the student.

4.4 No-shows are charged in full.

4.5 Tutors should be contacted for all lesson-related matters, including attendance, scheduling, and rescheduling, with any changes subject to tutor availability and mutual agreement.

4.6 Time for Tutoring should be contacted only for payment matters, permanent cancellation of services, or issues beyond the scope of the Tutor.

4.7 We understand emergencies and illness can occur. Please notify the tutor as soon as possible. Exceptions for terms under clause 4.3 may be considered at the Company’s discretion.

5. Tutor Changes & Availability

5.1 Tutor availability may change due to circumstances such as illness, leave, or unforeseen events.

5.2 Tutors will notify parents as soon as reasonably possible of any changes to availability or lesson cancellations.

6. Parent Portal Access

6.1 Parents are provided access to a secure Parent Portal.

6.2 The portal allows you to:

  • View lesson details

  • Manage invoices and payment methods

  • Update contact and billing information

7. Agreement & Acceptance

7.1 By allowing tutoring to proceed, you formally agree to these Terms & Conditions.

7.2 These terms apply to all ongoing and future tutoring services unless updated.
